What makes an agent different from a chatbot
A chatbot replies. An agent also acts: it can look up a record, create an entry, schedule a visit or send a document. That makes it far more useful, and it is why we add permissions, limits and logs.
How we build agents safely

- A narrow job description for each agent
- Access only to the data and tools it needs
- Approved knowledge it can answer from
- Approval steps for sensitive actions such as refunds or discounts
- Confidence checks so the agent asks a person when unsure
- Logs of conversations and actions for review
Understanding many languages
Where an agent needs to decide quickly what a message is about, for example billing, a complaint or an urgent request, we add a classification step with a confidence threshold. When confidence is low, the agent hands the conversation to a person.
Start with one agent

We recommend starting with one valuable, well-defined task, proving it, and then adding more. Agents can run on top of your custom software so they work with real records, not copies.
